The Authority carries out quality audits according to §§ 30 and 31 of Act No. 309/2000 Coll. Quality system audits, process quality audits and product quality audits are carried out based on the customer's request or the supplier's request. For the purposes of the said Act, the customer means ministries, other administrative authorities, regions, relevant NATO authorities or similar authorities, authorities of NATO member states or similar authorities, or authorities of other countries.
During the preparation, execution and evaluation of the audit, the Authority is reasonably based on the ČSN EN ISO 19011 standard. The Office prepares a report from each audit, which it provides to the supplier, and possibly also to the customer. In case of a satisfactory result of the quality system audit, the Office will issue a Quality System Conformity Certificate with the requirements of the relevant standard.
Procedure for requesting a quality audit
A request for an audit can be sent to the Authority's data box.
After receiving the application, the Authority will send the supplier an entry questionnaire to be filled out. The goal of the entry questionnaire is to obtain basic information about the supplier. The supplier is informed in writing about the processing of the audit request. In the case of a positive settlement, the Authority will determine the expected date of the audit, in the case of a negative settlement, it will state the relevant justification.
As part of the preparation of the audit, the Authority also concludes a contract with the audited supplier for the performance of a quality audit. This contract defines the rules for conducting the audit and the rights and obligations of the contracting parties.
Performing quality system audits
When performing audits of the quality system, the following Czech Defence Standards (ČOS) are used, which are introduced by NATO AQAP publications of the contract type:
- ČOS 051672 (AQAP-2110), NATO Requirements for Quality Assurance in Design, Development and Production or
- ČOS 051674 (AQAP-2310) – NATO Quality Assurance Requirements for Aerospace and Defence Suppliers and further
- ČOS 051651 (AQAP-2210), Supplementing NATO requirements to AQAP-2110 or AQAP-2310 for software quality assurance.
