Assessing and verifying the capability of military aircraft

The Defence Standardization, Codification and Government Quality Assurance Authority and the Department of Military Aviation Supervision of the Administration and Management of Organizations of the Ministry of Defence (ODVL MO) cooperate in ensuring the performance of state administration in the field of military aviation on the basis of the concluded Agreement.

On the basis of the Agreement, the Authority supervises tests for type approval carried out by the supplier in accordance with § 35e, paragraph 3 of Act No. 219/1999 Coll., within the scope and under conditions mutually agreed on the basis of a specific request from the ODVL MO.

It also participates in the process of assessing and verifying the suitability of military aircraft. This activity is carried out by designated employees of the Office, who are listed as "certifying personnel" in the Organization's Interpretations. The activity within the process of assessing and verifying the suitability of military aircraft can be carried out on the basis of the supplier's request separately or it is carried out simultaneously with the state quality verification according to Act No. 309/2000 Coll.

Based on the request of ODVL MO, the Authority also provides its employees to the audit team of ODVL MO. The subject of these audits is to check whether the applicant meets the conditions for issuing a certificate for activities according to § 35n paragraph 1 letter b) Act No. 219/1999 Coll. or it is an inspection at the supplier according to § 35n paragraph 4 of Act No. 219/1999 Coll.

At the same time, the cooperation of the Authority and ODVL MO also includes the mutual exchange of information, professional training and a uniform procedure towards suppliers when deficiencies are detected.
